Samyang Unveils AI-Based Sugar Reduction Solution at IFT 2025

Samyang Corporation unveiled its AI‑powered “3S (Smart, Simple, and Successful) Sugar Reduction Solution” at the IFT 2025 expo in Chicago (July 14–16). The platform allows users to input target sugar reduction, ingredient costs, and key product-type factors. It then recommends an optimal blend using the company’s proprietary ingredients: low‑calorie sweetener Allulose (Nexweet®) and water‑soluble dietary fiber Resistant Maltodextrin (Fiberest®).

The 3S solution speeds up product development and adapts to client needs. At the expo, Samyang showcased cereal bars, low‑calorie caramel, BBQ sauces, high-fiber gummies, and kombucha featuring these ingredients.

Allulose offers about 70% of sugar’s sweetness with almost no calories and has been sold globally since 2021. Resistant Maltodextrin supports digestive health, post-meal blood sugar control, and triglyceride reduction.

CEO Nak-hyun Choi emphasized 3S delivers precise, data-driven recommendations and will expand to more product categories like ice cream, sauces, baked goods, and confections. Samyang plans to enhance its U.S. presence and exhibit at upcoming shows like HI Japan 2025 and SupplySide West.
